TECHION GROUP OF COMPANIES - PRIVACY POLICY

When you use our services, you’re also trusting us with your Personal Data (as defined in GDPR legislations). We work hard to protect your Personal Data and put you in control where possible. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what Personal Data we collect and store, why we collect it and how you can update, manage, and delete your Personal Data.

We want you to understand the types of information we collect as you use our services and/or process your inquiry – its simple – we only collect and use the Personal Data that you provide us with.  We receive this data when you either request more information about our services, subscribe to our services and create your profile, or when you choose to enter additional data into your profile in order to get better customised services from us. For example when you create a profile in FECPAK, you provide us with Personal Data that includes your name, location, email address, phone number, type of business, and details about that business (eg for a farmer this may be species of stock farmed, age of stock, animal husbandry and farm management practices). We also generate and collect non-Personal Data when you use our FECPAK service.

Use of Data

We use the information we collect to provide and customise our services for you, including providing recommendations, and customised content.  We may also use data generated by the FECPAK system for analytics and research purposes, and to provide certain non-Personal Data to third parties as permitted under the subscription agreements (eg area disease alerts - see subscription agreement terms and conditions). We may also use information that we collect, such as your email address, to interact with you directly. For example, we may send you a notification if we become aware of disease outbreaks in your area, or we may let you know about upcoming changes or improvements to our services, or new services we have developed. In certain circumstance we may use a unique identifier to protect the identity of a Person where data generated by the FECPAK services is needed to be used by Techion (i.e Pseudonymisation as defined in the subscription agreements). You can opt out of receiving marketing information by emailing us (see Contact list below) and our email newsletters have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Personal Data

We will only share Personal Data with a third party when we have your explicit consent. We will only share Personal Data outside of Techion for legal reasons if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
  • Enforce applicable subscription agreement Terms and Conditions (“T&C’s), including investigation of potential violations.
  • Detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
  • Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Techion, our Users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Sharing your information

Many of our services let you share information with other people (advisors), and you have control over how you share (note the subscription agreement T&C’s outline restrictions on the provision of FECPAK generated data to a third party for commercial gain).

Keeping your information secure

We build security into our systems to protect your Personal Data. All Techion products are built with strong security features that continuously protect your information. We work hard to protect you and Techion from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of information we hold. We restrict access to Personal Data only to Techion employees, contractors and agents who need that information in order to process it. Anyone with this access is subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

Access and control of your Personal Data

You can contact us to access, modify, or erase your Personal Data held by us. You have the right to restrict our processing of your Personal Data and have the right to portability.

Compliance & cooperation with regulators

We regularly review this Privacy Policy and make sure that we process your information in ways that comply with it, in particular GDPR. We have access to cloud storage from various servers around the world and your information may be processed on servers located outside of the country where you live. Data protection laws vary among countries, with some providing more protection than others. Regardless of where your information is processed/stored, we apply the same protections described in this Policy. We also comply with applicable legal frameworks relating to the transfer of data.

About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Techion and any of its affiliates (entities that belong within the Techion group of companies). We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, however we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. We always indicate the date when the last changes were published. If changes are significant, we’ll provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Privacy Policy changes).
